Mobileuncle MTK Tools is a free app for Android that lets you pull device information, backup your IMEI, as well as many advanced tools for Mediatek Devices.

Mobileuncle MTK Tools can do just about everything from display device information, enable engineer mode so you can modify IMEI on the device, update and flash your stock firmware and more.

Have a device that’s a single or dual SIM and need to backup the existing IMEI? You can do that too! You can even use the Power GPS search to troubleshoot GPS issues on your device and get them fixed fast.

One of our favorite features is the App to SD function; if you have pre-installed apps on an SD card you can port them to your device and make them full-fledged apps on your device (be warned though, you can’t always do this on every device).

It’s important to note that you’ll need root/SU access to your phone to be able to run Mobileuncle MTK tools. Few, if any, features will work without it – including rebooting your phone into recovery mode.

For users that want the ability to alter and backup IMEI and firmware, Mobileuncle MTK Tools is a must! Just make sure you know what you’re doing ahead of time since this is a tool that can seriously mess up your phone if you don’t know what you’re doing.

Pros

  • Find Device Info Fast Find out everything about your device with a single tap.
  • Rollback Updates to Last Stable Version Having trouble since your last firmware update? Reboot to recovery mode and roll it back.
  • Flash Stock Firmware Flash and load made easy.
  • Backup, Alter, and Restore IMEI Works with both single and dual SIMs

Cons

  • Only Runs on Rooted Devices This won’t work without full SU.
